On December 9, 2019, China National Centre for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) solicited public opinions on the expanded usage of sucrose esters of fatty acid.
Sucrose esters of fatty acid has been listed in GB 2760 as a food additive, which is allowed to be used as emulsifier in food categories such as formulated milk, cream, etc., now is applying for the use in flavoured fermented milk (food category 01.02.02), with applied maximum usage of 1.5 g/kg.
The deadline for solicitation is January 3, 2020.
